Snap and armoured versions are made of a polycarbonate material with a fixed shape and is a hard material, and not a soft rubber or silicon. The armoured case does have an internal layer that is softer rubber to help with impact absorption. They are fully recyclable at the end of their life.
Both snap and armoured versions have raised edges for the screen and camera, the depth of the edge depends on each devices needs and camera height. We recommend the armoured version if you are after a more protective phone case as the snap does not cover the top and bottom of the phone.

For overall device protection, a case like our armoured version which covers the corners, edges and back of a phone, is your best bet. A good case will protect your phone from scratches and absorb impact in those areas when your device is dropped however there are many factors in a fall such as the surface the phone hits, the height, the speed and if your phone's screen hits any object on it's way down.
