This case is inspired by one of many fishing spots that Ryhia would go to, visiting after the wet when the rain had stopped and all the rivers, creeks, and waterholes would be flowing. On one side of the hills, she would fish for barramundi and stay well away from the water, away from the saltwater crocodiles, and on the other side of the hills, she would swim in the crystal clear freshwater and catch black bream.

Ryhia Dank is a contemporary Aboriginal artist who grew up in a remote community and lives in Australia. Her paintings are storywork. Gudanji/Wakaja people told stories through pattern and design - Ryhia calls her storying, Nardurna.
